The do_not_mail status

Do not mail1 credit per result · default action: Remove

Do not mail (do_not_mail) means the address may accept mail, but it is a kind you should not send to: a throwaway inbox, a shared team address, an address on do-not-contact lists, or one that looks like a trap. It costs 1 credit. The action depends on the reason: some of these addresses are worth a careful send, others should be removed.

How to decide

Reasons	Typical decision
`role_account`, `role_catch_all`, `forwarding_domain`	A shared inbox such as info@ or sales@, or a mailbox that cannot be confirmed. Fine for business replies; often unwanted in marketing lists. Keep these in a separate segment and watch bounces.
`disposable`, `toxic`, `suppressed`, `possible_trap`	Remove. These addresses rarely lead to a customer and can damage your sender reputation.

disposable: The address comes from a throwaway mail service whose inboxes are usually abandoned quickly.
