We guarantee that the valid and invalid results of every list you validate with us are at least 99.2% accurate. If a list falls short, we refund the difference as a share of what that list cost you. This guarantee is part of the Terms of Service and is the only exception to our rule that all sales are final.
What we guarantee
- At least 99.2% accuracy on valid and invalid results, measured per list. A list is one bulk validation job, started from the dashboard, the API or the MCP server. It has a list ID that starts with
job_. - A valid result is accurate when the address can receive mail. An invalid result is accurate when it cannot.
- Results that came from a stored earlier check are covered like any other result: you paid for them.
How the refund is calculated
Refund = 99.2% minus the measured accuracy, as a share of what the list cost.
For example, if a list is 70% accurate, we give back 99.2% − 70% = 29.2% of what that list cost. At 99.2% accuracy or better, nothing is due.
- Measured accuracy = the list's correct valid and invalid results ÷ all of its valid and invalid results. A result counts as wrong only when your evidence shows it was wrong. Every other result counts as correct.
- What the list cost = the credits the list was charged × the price you paid per credit, before tax. The price per credit is the pack price divided by all the credits that pack gave you, bonus credits included. Free sign-up credits and credits we granted for free count as $0.
- The refund is never more than what you paid for that list.
The claim window
Your claim must reach claims@email-validation.org within 15 days of the list's validation. The list's validation is the moment the job finished: the time of the "Your list is ready" email and the completion time on the list's page in your dashboard (UTC). Claims that arrive later are not accepted.
How to claim
Email claims@email-validation.org from the email address of your account, with:
- the list ID (it starts with
job_); - the addresses you say were wrong, and the result we gave for each;
- your evidence, for example the bounce messages with the receiving server's reply, or delivery records for addresses we marked invalid. The mail must have been sent within the claim window.
You get an automatic acknowledgement with a reference. A person reviews every claim. We may re-check addresses, ask you for more evidence, and decide whether a claim is accepted and how much is due. The acknowledgement is not a decision on your claim. If something is missing, send it to claims@email-validation.org and keep the reference from the acknowledgement in the subject.
A claim that reaches us within the window is reviewed even if the list's files are deleted before we answer (lists and results are deleted 30 days after upload). We then review it from the list's stored counts, your copy of the list and its results, and your evidence. So keep your copy until we answer.
What the guarantee does not cover
- Risky results, for example catch-all domains, role addresses and disposable addresses: they are a warning, not a valid or invalid answer.
- Unknown results: they are never charged.
- Single checks made outside a bulk list (the API, the dashboard checker, the free email checker).
- Bounces caused by your sending reputation, blocking, rate limits or message content, for example policy rejections with a 5.7.x code. They do not show that an address cannot receive mail.
- Addresses that changed after the list was validated, for example a mailbox that was deleted or created later.
- Test addresses on our sandbox domain.
- Lists that breach the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Purchases that are disputed with your bank or charged back.
How we pay
An accepted claim is paid to the original payment method of the purchase that paid for the list. If that payment can no longer be refunded, we agree another way with you, such as credits. This guarantee is the only refund we offer, and it does not affect any rights that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
