# Refund Policy

Credit purchases are final and non-refundable. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.

## Why we do not refund credits

You only pay for checks that give a definite answer. These are never charged:

- every result with the status unknown, including checks that take longer than 15 seconds;
- requests that fail with an error;
- addresses rejected as malformed before any check runs;
- test addresses on our sandbox domain.

Every new account also gets 500 free credits, so you can test the service on your own data before you buy.

## Expiry

Credits expire 24 months after they are granted, whether they were free, bonus or purchased. We always spend the credits that expire soonest first, and we email you before credits expire. Expired credits are not refunded or restored.

## Business purchases

Packs are sold for business use: when you buy, you confirm that you are buying for a business or profession. Prices in USD, excluding tax. VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where applicable.

## Payment problems

If you believe a payment was taken in error, write to [legal@email-validation.org](mailto:legal@email-validation.org) with the invoice number; a person reviews every message sent there. Payment disputes opened with your bank freeze the credits from that purchase until the dispute is resolved.
